Ego Nwodim — Egobunma “Ego” Nwodim is an American actress and comedian best known for her recurring role in the cast of Saturday Night Live. She joined the long-running NBC sketch-comedy on September 21, 2018 for its 44th season.

Nwodim started off her comedic career by taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles. Here, she performed her one-woman show Great Black Women…and Then There’s Me, which she has stated is “A show about black women but it’s for errybody.”

Before landing her big role on Saturday Night Live, she made several guest appearances on the podcast Comedy Bang! Bang! In addition, the actress has had several supporting roles on television, including Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, 2 Broke Girls, and Living Biblically.
