Thousands took to the streets of London on June 4, 2019, to protest American President Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK, and his meeting with outgoing UK Prime Minister Theresa May. The protestors gathered in Trafalgar Square in the early morning, an area declared a “Trump-free zone” by organizers, headed to a rally at White Hall, then marched through the streets of London for hours. The protest coincided with Trump’s joint press conference with May, and he actually denied that it was even happening. Despite the thousands gathered outside 10 Downing Street, Trump said that it was “fake news” and that he only saw people waving American flags and cheering for him. Signs read “Climate Change is Real, Your Tan is Not,” And “Stop Racism, Stop Trump.” And, of course, the Trump Baby balloon, clad in diapers and carrying a smartphone, was there flying above the crowd.
