Deborah Norville is an Emmy Award-winning television journalist, author and businesswoman. She’s held the anchor position at ‘Inside Edition’, a syndicated news show, since March of 1995. When the show celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015, it was noted that Deborah was the longest-serving female anchor on national television. Her [2007] book, ‘Thank You Power’ was a New York Times best-seller. Deborah shares three children — Niki Kyle and Mikaela — with her husband, Karl Wellner, who she wed in 1987. The television personality made headlines on April 1, 2019, when she announced she would undergo immediate surgery to remove a cancerous thyroid nodule, which was detected by an ‘Inside Edition’ viewer, who noticed a lump on her neck. Deborah, a Tri-Delta at the University of Georgia, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, was elected to the board of directors of the Viacom Corporation in March 2013. She often attends red carpet events in New York City to support numerous causes, including breast cancer research.
