David Lee Murphy is an American singer-songwriter, with numerous hits in the country music industry. He is best known for his #1 country hits “Dust on the Bottle” and “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” as well as for writing several of Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen and Jason Aldean’s songs. In 2004, David took a break from recording his music and focused on songwriting, where he found major success. He scored his first outside number one with Kenny, with “Living In Fast Forward,” and then again in ’09 with “Big Green Tractor,” recorded by Jason Aldean.
David Lee Murphy returned to the studio with his longtime collaborator Kenny Chesney, where the two dueted on their top-charting single “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” in 2017. He then released his first album since 2004 called “No Zip Code” in 2018, which was met with rave reviews.
