The brainchild of Diddy himself, this American girl group got their start when they came together in the third season of MTV’s Making the Band in 2005. The group started out with five, incredibly talented women working together in harmony: Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, and Shannon Bex. They reached pique success the year after the band came together, dropping their debut album in 2016 that gave the world two singles, ‘Show Stopper’ and ‘Ride with You’. However, it was in 2008, with the release of their second album ‘Dollhouse’ that catapulted them into stardom as the lead single ‘Damaged’ did just that on the charts.
But the good times were not to last. Shortly after this photo was taken of the women all together at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, Wanita left the band for good. In 2014, Aundrea followed suit, announcing her departure from the group just as they were about to head out on a reunion tour. As of the summer of 2014, the girls have officially disbanded, with most taking on solo projects and putting out albums of their own.
