Long before Cody was a staple on the country music scene, he and Brandi first got together when he was 21 and she was 18. They met when they were both at the same bar on a night out and Cody gave Brandi his number. Just a year later, they were engaged, and they tied the knot a year after that. Cody was a bull rider and prison guard before he began pursusing music as a career, and he’s said that it was Brandi who helped push him to do what he loves.

Cody and Brandi went on to have two daughters, Clara, and Cori, together. The family lives on a ranch in Texas. When Cody isn’t working on music or touring, he’s at home with his family, tending to their animals and living a laidback country life.
