Christopher Meloni — Few actors are as beloved as Christopher Meloni is. The Washington D.C. native is best known for his role as NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler on NBC’s ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’ Christopher was on the show for the first 12 seasons until he exited in May 2011. His work on the series even earned him a 2006 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. After leaving ‘SVU,’ he appeared in shows like ‘True Blood’ and ‘Happy,’ as well as films like ‘Man of Steel,’ ’12 Monkeys’ and ‘Runaway Bride’ In 2020, Christopher finally returned to the ‘Law & Order’ franchise to lead the spin-off series ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime.’

Aside from his career, Christopher is married to Doris Sherman Meloni and they have two daughters together.
