The actor met Elsa Pataky in 2010 through their mutual representatives. Elsa is a Spanish actress and famous in her own right. Following a whirlwind romance, the pair married in December 2010.
The couple have three children together.

They welcomed their first child, a daughter named India Rose Hemsworth, in May 2012. Roughly two years later, the couple welcomed their twins, Sasha and Tristan Hemsworth, in March 2014. The couple and their three kiddos have lived in Byron Bay, Australia since their move from Los Angeles in 2015.
