Charisma Carpenter is an American actress. Best known as Cordelia Chase, Charisma portrayed the character on the first three seasons of ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ and on the first four seasons of the spin-off, ‘Angel’. After ‘Angel’, she landed a recurring role in ‘Veronica Mars’, the main role in ABC Family’s The Lying Game, and the notable role of Kyra in ‘Charmed’. Her more recent television work includes hosting ‘Surviving Evil’, an Investigation Discovery series where crime survivors revisit the scenes of their attacks. She was featured in the premiere episode.
Charisma’s work has also taken her to the big screen. Though she had roles in the direct-to-video series ‘Josh Kirby…Time Warrior!’, her more significant roles include 2010’s Psychosis, and that of Lacy in the first two The Expendables movies.
Charisma married Damian Hardy in 2002. In 2003, she gave birth to their son. The couple separated in 2007 and finalized their divorce in 2008. In 2021, she accused ‘Buffy’ creator and director, Joss Whedon, of a history of ‘casual cruelty.’
