Britney Spears & Her Sons: See Photos Of The ‘Lucky’ Singer With Her 2 Kids — Britney Spears has always adored her two sons. The superstar shares sons Sean Preston, born September 14, 2005, and Jayden, born September 12, 2006, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2007.

Though a dedicated mom, Britney’s parenting was put under a microscope and she became the subject of much tabloid fodder. The pressure began weighing on Britney’s mental health. After she and Kevin initially agreed to joint custody of their sons, she lost custody following her public 2007 nervous breakdown. The breakdown was the start of a dark path for Britney, leading to her 2008 conservatorship. Over time, Britney earned visitation rights and got to see her boys, who lived with their dad. They’ve continued to live with Kevin since Britney’s conservatorship ended in Nov. 2021.

The pair, now teenagers, keep out of the spotlight these days, but every so often Britney shares snaps of her boys with their permission.

Britney and Kevin welcomed Sean in 2005 and were instantly heaped with criticism about their parenting. The pop star defended herself in an emotional interview with NBC’s Matt Laurer in 2006, telling him, “I know I’m a good mom.”

She went on to claim she was being unfairly bullied, telling Matt, “They like to have the person they pick on, I feel like I’m a target.”

Britney filed for divorce from Kevin in 2006, citing “irreconcilable differences”. While they initially agreed on joint custody, that all changed in 2008 after Britney’s mental health crisis. Britney would stay a presence in her children’s lives, seen at baseball games and school events with her ex.

Talking about their co-parenting relationship with Access Hollywood in 2015, Kevin said, “We have two beautiful children. The way that everything has turned out, everybody’s happy. Coparenting is going great. I can’t complain.”

Though she wasn’t taking care of her sons full-time, Britney explained why her kids are her priority in a 2017 interview with People. She said, “My kids come first, always. There is nothing more rewarding than being a mom and watching my sons grow into young men.” She added, “I am so lucky that I get to experience all of life’s adventures with them.”

Britney revealed her desire to have more kids while fighting to terminate her conservatorship in 2021. During an emotional court hearing, she said, “I would like to progressively move forward, and I want to have the real deal. I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby.” The conservatorship was officially terminated on Nov. 12, 2021.

Not long after the end of her conservatorship, Britney took to Instagram on Nov. 16, 2021 to muse about expanding her family. “I’m thinking about having another baby !!!” the star, who was engaged to actor Sam Asghari at the time, said. “I wonder if this one is a girl,” she captioned the black and white snap of a child.
