Tributes from well wishers and loved ones were left along Boylston Street in the aftermath of the trafic Boston Marathon Bombing.
April 15, 2013, two homemade pressure cooker bombs detonated near the finish line of the race, killing 3 people and injuring hundreds of other runners and spectators standing alongside Boylston Street near Copley Square.
From there, an unprecedented manhunt began for brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the two suspects identified as placing the bombs on the street. Tamerlan died during a confrontation with cops, being shot several times and being run over by his brother, Dzhokhar. Dzhokhar was finally captured 4 days after the bombing, while hiding in then boat in the residential neighborhood of Watertown.
