Anthony Davis is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. The National Basketball Association (NBA) player got his start in the world of sports playing high school basketball for Perspectives Charter School, where he stood a whopping 6 feet 8 inches tall. He then went on to play college basketball at University of Kentucky. While there, he led Kentucky to a National Championship and was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA tournament, although he only played there for one year before he was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2012. (Later that year, he was also selected to play in the 2012 Olympics.) He played for the New Orleans Pelicans for seven years until he left the team for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019, in which he plays the power forward and center positions.
