Alex Trebek was a TV icon. Celebrate the ‘Jeopardy!’ and his legacy with a look at his best photos.

Alex Trebek was born on July 22, 1940, in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, making him 80 years old at the time of his passing in 2020. He started hosting the revival for Jeopardy! in 1984 and had been a favorite game show host ever since.

His contract was meant to last through 2022, but sadly, the beloved host passed away on Nov. 8, 2020. Alex was strong throughout his fight with cancer, and hosted shows up to Oct. 29, 2020, just 10 days before his death. Scroll through to see pics of the famous game show host throughout the years.
