The competition on Claim To Fame is getting intense. As the number of celebrity relatives in the house gets smaller, the stakes get even higher. In one of the most shocking showdowns yet, Lark correctly guessed Amara Skye’s celebrity relative.
Fans have known from the series premiere when Amara Skye revealed herself to the audience, but her identity has been mostly a secret to her fellow castmates. The 32-year-old is the granddaughter of The View co-host and EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg! So, who is Amara Skye? HollywoodLife has rounded up everything you need to know about Amara.
Alex Martin is Whoopi’s only child. Her father is Whoopi’s first husband, Alvin Martin. Amara is one of Alex’s three children. Alex’s other two kids are named Jerzey and Mason. Amara was born on November 13, 1989. November 13 is also Whoopi’s birthday!
Amara has an adorable daughter named Charli Rose. Charli turned 8 in March 2022. Amara’s daughter is Whoopi’s first great-grandchild.
During the first episode of Claim To Fame, Amara revealed that Whoopi gave her blessing before she came on the show. Amara admitted that Whoopi told her, “Be a strong b*tch and come back happy.” In her introduction, Amara noted that Whoopi is a hands-on grandmother. “She likes to call me a lot and make sure that I’m on top of anything that I have,” Amara said.
Amara definitely didn’t think she was going to be eliminated during the August 22 episode. Lark had to choose her target for the guess-off. She could choose anyone since no one was safe with immunity. Lark admitted she was more certain about Louise’s identity than Amara’s, so she was torn about who to choose in the guess-off. If she guessed wrong, she would have to go home.
Lark decided to keep her friendship with Louise intact. She picked Amara as her target. Amara didn’t think Lark was going to guess correctly, but Lark was spot-on. After her celebrity relative was exposed, Amara began cussing up a storm. “F**k y’all but alright,” Amara said. As she walked away, Louise quipped, “You don’t want to say goodbye to Pepper?” Amara did bid farewell to Pepper, but she made sure to call Louise, L.C., Logan, and Lark fake!
Amara is a visual artist. She has a solo art show coming up on July 30 in New York City.
