‘We Live in Time’ Starring Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh: Trailer, Release Date, & More

One of the most anticipated films for the fall is the romantic dramedy We Live in Time from the hit production company A24. The new movie stars Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, and the first trailer for it was released on Wednesday, July 10. While the movie doesn’t come out for a few months, Hollywood Life has compiled everything there is to know about the film.

Release Date

We Live In Time is expected to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in October, according to Deadline. After that, there will be a limited release in theaters, beginning on October 11.

Cast & Crew

In the film, Andrew and Florence play the couple Tobias and Almut, respectively. They are a chef and a recent divorcée. Other cast members include Adam JamesAoife HindesMarama Corlett, Nikhil Parmar, and Heather Craney.

The movie is being directed by John Crowley, who is best-known for the 2015 film Brooklyn. His past projects also include Closed Circuit (2013) and the movie adaptation of Donna Tart’s book The Goldfinch. The screenplay was by Nick Payne, who also wrote The Last Letter From Your Love and has contributed to the hit TV show The CrownBenedict Cumberbatch is also a producer.

Plot Details

The film follows Tobias and Almut’s story after having a chance encounter with one another. The film provides glimpses into their love story and some of the issues that they face over the course of their romance. Still, it focuses in on how they make the most of the time that they have together.

Trailer

The trailer was released on July 10, and similar to the plot of the film, it shows different moments from the pair’s relationship. The film opens with Tobias and Almut having a conversation with their daughter, but there are plenty of flashbacks to showing their first encounter following a car crash. There are scenes showing them having conversations early on in their relationship. Some other clips show them seemingly having couples therapy, learning that Almut is pregnant, walking hand-in-hand, getting hot and heavy, and more.
