The YouTube community is basically a big family, which means when something happens, they all have to give their two cents. Especially when it’s something as intense as The Gabbie Show AKA Gabbie Hanna, 26, accusing RiceGum, 20, of grabbing her arm, holding her down, and smashing her phone at a party on March 28. RiceGum immediately insisted he “doesn’t hit girls,” and called Gabbie a “lying b****.”

Now, friends of both of the YouTubers are taking to Twitter to show support for whichever personality they believe. Andrea Russett quickly weighed in, shaming RiceGum for allegedly victim-shaming Gabbie. “U saying ‘sh*ts gonna get worse’ tells girls they shouldn’t speak up w/o being intimidated and silenced. Own up,” she wrote. Manny MUA felt similarly, writing “what a f*cken joke,” about RiceGum.
Others people rushed to Rice’s defense. Romeo LaCoste, who witnessed the confrontation, said that RiceGum never hit Gabbie, but he did break her phone and then paid her $2k for it. He also made it sound like Gabbie was pushing RiceGum into confrontation. More of Rice’s friends spoke up after hearing the account, with Banks from FaZe saying “This is pretty fkn far from what Gabbie said happened. Lying about something like that is so damaging and just super f*cked js .” See tweets on both sides below.

Of course these idiots would believe a woman self inflicted harm first OVER BEING MISTREATED.

This is just awful. He is an aggressive, egomaniac. Of course he going to deny it to make him self look good. Smh.

if you publicly make a video making fun of someone then you should be able to handle jokes back IRL, don't turn to VIOLENCE. I'm disgusted.

No matter who has more support, no one “wins” in this sad scenario. Whether Gabbie is telling the truth or falsely accusing RiceGum, assault is a serious issue and it’s unfortunate that the YouTube community is forced to confront it on March 29.
