Jacob Ohl, 17, was involved in a gruesome situation. He made an emergency phone call after being struck by a CSX train in Lilburn, Georgia on March 2. The recording of his 911 call was posted by the Daily Mail and Ohl sounds surprisingly calm given what had just happened to him. The operator starts off by asking what the emergency is and that’s when Ohl responds, “Um, I just got hit by a train.”
The operator then asks about the teen’s location and if he’s okay. There is shock in his tone as he says, “No.” When he is asked if he’s hurt, he says it’s in his legs. “I think it cut them off,” he says. The shocking recording can be heard here.

What makes this even scarier is that Ohl explains that he was alone when the train ran into him. He mentioned that he could’ve fallen in front when the train passed him. Eventually, the paramedics arrived and they used tourniquets to control the bleeding, which helped him survive. The police said that Ohl’s legs were over the tracks when they found him.
The boy was taken to a medical center and has since been recovering with physical therapy. His family has created a GoFundMe page, which has gained more than $35,000 as of March 7. His mother Fern wrote about him on the page and how his loved ones “are beginning to look toward the future and are actively working on placing him in the best rehabilitation facility.”
