In the stills shown in our gallery, we see that Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Officer Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) are finally taking that next step. The episode, ironically titled “Personal Business,” features Eddie getting jealous after Jamie lets a woman crash at his place — something that seems a little strange for just a partner relationship, right?
Needless to say, it’s been a long time coming. In season four (yes, we’re now in season seven), after setting each other up with friends and going on a double date, they actually kiss. However, they later promise each other it’ll never happen again.

Ever since, the sexual tension has been there — obviously. Both are single, spending all hours of the day together, and always dealing with emotional stories. Last week’s episode featured Jamie telling Eddie for the first time about his ex, who left him for putting the job first. And it seemed like for the first time, Eddie admitted to herself that she wanted more with Jamie. I mean, she blew off a Bruce Springsteen concert for drinks with him, and told a woman who talked about falling for a coworker that she knew exactly what she was going through.
Needless to say, this has been the longest slow burn ever, and it’s time for another strong relationship to come out of this show. I love Danny and Linda as much as the next person, but nothing is quite like that long-time tension finally coming to a head.
