Lars & Scottie Pippen’s Divorce: Son Scottie Jr. Has Been Mom’s ‘Rock’ During Split

Scottie and Larsa Pippen shocked the world when they announced they were divorcing after 19 years. HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that the person she’s turning to the most is her 15-year-old son, Scottie Jr. We have the scoop, here.

After living apart for months, Scottie Pippin, 51,  and Larsa, 42, announced their surprising split on Oct. 21, after being married for 19 years. While their four children — Sophia Pippen, 7, Scottie Pippen Jr., 15,  Justin Pippen, 9, and Preston Pippen, 12 — are living with Larsa, she’s leaning the most on their eldest. “Scottie has really stepped up,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He helps his mom with getting the kids ready for school, housework, yard work. He’s been her rock, but he’s suffering, too. He misses his dad. That guy is like a superhero to his kids.” So sweet!

Besides Scottie, Jr., another person has been supporting Larsa during her difficult divorce — Future, 32. However, the two are just friends, as we EXCLUSIVELY told you previously. “Future respects Larsa and her relationship and isn’t hooking up on the side with her,” an insider told us. “The two of them are tight and he’s seriously concerned about her. For now, he’s at a safe distance because he doesn’t want Scottie to think they’re having an affair.”

In early Oct. 2016, Ft. Lauderdale Police Department investigated the the former Chicago Bulls player’s home for reported domestic disturbance calls, according to TMZ Sports. On Oct. 2, they allegedly saw Larsa waiting outside her home in her car, and though she told cops that she and Scottie had a “heated verbal argument,” she insisted they did not get physical. No arrests were made, but a few days later, cops were again called for another domestic disturbance claim — no arrests were made that time either.
