Zoe is dead. There, we said it. Now you have time to process your emotions and hopefully, feel a bit of acceptance by the time you’re done reading our recap. The love of Noah’s life was killed in the Aug. 2 episode of Scream, having drowned in a wooden coffin, which was submerged in the lake.
So what happened was the killer kidnapped Zoe and then lured Noah to their “favorite spot” — the lake. Then, he stabbed Noah and kidnapped him too. But he put both of them in separate coffins and placed them in different locales. Noah was buried under the abandoned barn, while Zoe’s coffin was submerged in the lake. Both had a limited amount of air supply, so Emma and Audrey were led on a scavenger hunt in hopes of saving their friends.
Sadly, they only had time to save one person and it ended up being Noah. But to be fair, they had no idea Zoe was even kidnapped. They didn’t figure that out until they rescued Noah and he told them. They hurried to find her, but they were too late. By the time they opened her casket, she was dead. (So sad.)
Furthermore, we learned the real reason why Audrey had it out for Emma when she teamed up with Piper. Apparently, Audrey was once in love with Emma, and she broke her heart without even knowing it.
Also, Maggie and Sheriff Acosta worried about secrets from their past, including the possibility that Brandon James may still be alive. But to find out if he really is, Maggie left a note for him in a tree nook — a place where they used to exchange notes when they were teenagers. We didn’t get to see if Brandon really is alive, but Eli popped out of the woods as soon as Maggie walked away after placing the note in the tree. Could he be connected to Brandon?
