OMG we cannot stop listening to “Girls Will Be Girls,” and now we have a video to go along with it! Sophie Beem‘s hit song just dropped to go along with the release of Bad Moms in theaters today and Hollywoodlife.com has the first look just for you! Watch now!
Sophie sings the newest anthem for girls everywhere that you will not be able to get out of your head. “Oh you know that you’re perfect exactly how you are,” the song declares.”It’s better to be original, free your individual.” Couldn’t agree more, girlfriend!
The video is super fun, just like song. Sophie shakes around her hair, twirls around with friends and changes into some pretty cool outfits. A fave is definitely her jeans with handprints all over them!
The lettering in the vid is super Beyoncé-inspired — maybe because Sophie just got back from opening on her Formation World Tour in Milan and she is signed to Beyoncé’s label, Parkwood Entertainment! Back in April, when Sophie released her vid for “Skyline,” she told Hollywoodlife.com about writing a letter to Bey! “I was like ‘Dear Ms. Knowles…’ I was excited to tell my story and grateful for the opportunity that someone like her would listen to what I had to say; care about what I was experiencing,”
Beyoncé’s Formation Tour — PICS!
Anyways, the “Girls Will Be Girls” video goes through a collection of photos and videos of Sophie, well, just being a girl! You see her in her natural habitat, doing a friend’s hair, sipping on some tea, dancing in the streets and picking out shoes.
The song promotes girl power and pride, totally fitting the themes of the day after a woman was nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate for the first time ever! As Sophie sings, “Girls will be girls out here running this world.” Sounds about right!
Sophie has had a crazy year so far, having toured with Charlie Puth before landing an opening gig with Queen B last month! She also premiered her first record, “I Got You,” featuring Fetty Wap back in March. Sophie’s currently writing her debut album, which will be out later this year. For now, we’ll just keep jamming out to “Girls Will Be Girls!”
