“Why didn’t I get a phone call for using a naked wax figure in your video, Kanye [West]?” Amber [Rose], 31, said looking directly into the camera, and rolling her neck. “Taylor [Swift] gets a call, but I don’t get a call!”
Amber was referring to Kanye’s now-infamous “Famous” music video, which depicted naked replicas of the TV personality, Taylor, and many other notable celebrities that have been a part of major scandals. Amber surprisingly had no problem with the fake nude image that was broadcasted, but she was upset didn’t get the same treatment as Taylor!
To get everyone up to speed, the “Bad Blood” singer received a call from Kanye before the single even dropped, when he asked for permission to mention her in the lyrics. And fans have video proof of Taylor’s consent, thanks to Kim Kardashian, 35, but it looks like Taylor was the only one to get that courtesy. However, it did look like Amber was joking, seeing how she has smoothed things over after her little Twitter feud with the rapper.
But during her segment, she also used her platform to give some serious perspective and to defend Kanye! “So, I’m not the biggest fan of Kanye, but I was next to him at the VMAs that year (when he interrupted T. Swift’s acceptance speech). I remember the repercussions after that,” she said. “He really went through a lot of bulls— and I know that Kanye would never ever go through that again by not calling Taylor… I know that about Kanye.” Wow, that’s was seriously nice of Amber!
But we wouldn’t go so far as to say that she’s Team Kanye all the way. She concluded her segment, by giving Kanye a bit of harsh advice. “Please stay the f*** out of the news so I don’t have to talk about your a** anymore.”
HollywoodLifers, do you think Kanye should have called Amber for her permission to be in the video?
