The Queen might have pulled a royal recycle move, but the whole concept totally belongs to Kate Middleton! Staying true to her savvy fashion choices, the Duchess, 34, looked divine when she stepped out in a beautiful embellished Jenny Packham gown for a gala dinner in aid of East Anglia’s Children Hospices at Houghton Hall on June 22, where she dazzled in the form-fitting gown — honestly with a dress this nice she had to wear it twice!
This gown was one of my ultimate fave looks on Kate — and if you take a look at her in the stunning style it’s easy to see why. The Duchess first debuted the dress five years ago at the ARK Gala at Kensington Palace in 2011, which marked the couple’s first official royal engagement following their wedding. The embellished frock, from Jenny Packham’s Spring 2011 collection, features Swarovski crystal embellishments that totally sparkle as the silhouette fit Kate’s figure like a glove, as if it was made for the Duchess. It was the perfect dress for her first official outing as a member of the royal family.
Two children later and the dress still fits Kate perfectly! This time around, the Duchess paired the sparkling ensemble with a sophisticated chignon. She rocked the frock with a delicate pair of LK Bennett sandals that featured a feminine bow and polished off the look with a Prada clutch — and she actually sported the very same shoes the first time she donned the dress in 2011! Diamond chandelier earrings, (on loan from the Queen!), adding to the glitzy get-up.
What did you think of Kate’s latest look? Are you glad she decided to break out her stunning gown?
