As if picking a soulmate from a pack of eligible men and women isn’t hard enough, there’s usually a chance that the bachelor and bachelorette have to deal with a total douche. Remember Bentley Williams from Bachelorette season 7? He didn’t want to stay on the show anymore, which is totally ok, but he had the nerve to brag to the camera that he was going to make Ashley Hebert cry!
Justin Rego apparently didn’t understand the premise of The Bachelorette, because he forgot to mention to Ali Fedotowsky on season 6 that he already had a girlfriend! She didn’t find out until his very serious GF called to tell her about the atrocious cheating. Gross. Vienna Girardi managed to actually land bachelor Jake Pavelka on season 14 somehow, after spending the whole season bullying and belittling the other girls to the point of sheer cruelty. It was baffling.

And then there was a little someone called Juan Pablo Galavis. Remember him? Juan Pablo was actually the bachelor during season 18, and became widely hated for being just utterly gross. He told runner-up Claire Crawley during the final rose ceremony, “I love f**king you, but I don’t know you.” Wow. Kalon McMahon really didn’t stand a chance on Bachelorette season 8 when he really thought it was a good idea to insult Emily Maynard‘s daughter. Dude called the little girl “baggage.” Yeah, Emily’s not going to pick a husband who hates her child!
