Justin had Beliebers in a frenzy after he shared a selfie that revealed his new ink on May 7, which is a tiny cross in the corner of his right eye. Although fans immediately questioned JB’s decision to get a tattoo in such an obvious place, they were a little relieved when the tattoo artist shared the special reason he got it (“It represents his journey in finding purpose with God”). But as fans were freaking out over the Biebs’ new tat, what they likely didn’t realize is that he got his tiny tat in a very popular location!
Wiz, Travis Barker, Soulja Boy, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne all have small images inked in the corner of their eyes too! Cee Lo Green even has a cross in the corner of his eye just like Justin. Wayne and Rick also opted to get a few more little tats here and there on their faces, but clearly Justin isn’t weird for getting one there! Even a couple of girls got into the trend too, with Kat Von D putting a bunch of stars around her left eye, and Kesha being a little more sneaky with some inside-the-lip ink!
If that’s still not appeasing enough to justify JB’s new ink, perhaps fans will be even more relieved to find out that there are face tattoo that are much more obvious than a simple corner-of-the-eye tat! Mike Tyson‘s ink has practically become the staple of face tattoos, as he was one of the first big names to debut one. And it’s one of the biggest face tats in the biz, so it’s pretty hard to forget his tribal ink after you see it!
Last but not least, rappers The Game and Gucci Mane also have not-so-subtle tattoos on their faces. Gucci has a massive ice cream cone on his cheek, and The Game reps his hometown of Los Angeles with a big star tat next to his right eye — see, not such a weird location after all!
