With a ring on each finger on her right hand, Vanessa captioned her Insta pic, “Only 5 more games left!!!🎉💜💛😘 Had to post the 5 Championship rings my boo-boo gave me. So awesome to have been a part of his journey. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆.”
But before she could get any backlash from fans for taking Kobe’s rings, Vanessa made sure she clarified that the set in fact belonged to her. “For those that think this is Kobe’s set of rings: This is a set of Championship rings my husband gifted to me,” she wrote. “His ring size is twice the size of mine. Obviously, this is NOT HIS SET OF CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS…..😃😂 My thumb ring would never fit his pinky).😃 #OBVI.”
Vanessa certainly didn’t want to hear anything from Laker fans! It has been four years since Vanessa has had to deal with any Kobe drama, after all, so we can’t blame her for trying to avoid any more from starting.
Ironically, the last time Vanessa was flaunting a big flashy ring from Kobe, it was part of the said drama. In case you don’t recall, Kobe was charged with the rape of a 19-year-old girl in 2003, and to make up for his behavior, Kobe bought Vanessa an “apology ring” — to the tune of $4 million!
Considering the way Vanessa proudly showed off her hubby’s rings, clearly all of her and Kobe’s problems are in the past. And although it’s unclear how much each of the championship rings cost, one thing is for sure: Her right hand was worth a LOT!
