Madonna, who is currently going through a bitter custody battle over her son Rocco Ritchie with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, struggled to keep her emotions in check as she mumbled her way through the chaotic show at the Rod Laver Arena.
The clearly distressed singer also emotionally pleaded, “Somebody take care of me please,” before asking, “Who is going to take care of me?” which just sounds like she feels so alone right now and that’s heartbreaking.
The show went from bad-to-worse when she later fell off a tricycle, admitting she had “messed up” her songs and joking, “You would think it was in my DNA,” reported The Sun.
Madonna has been very affected by Rocco’s decision to ditch touring with his mom and live with his father in London instead. “If I have learnt one thing in my life, it’s just to go with it. If you just laugh it doesn’t hurt as much,” the UK tabloid claimed she said. She then dedicated a song to her estranged son, while standing in front of a backdrop that showed a childhood photo of Rocco.
During a hearing last week, Madonna’s legal reps told a court that she wanted to “heal the wounds” as she battles Guy for custody of their boy. Madonna didn’t help her cause on Mar. 10 when she downed a vodka cocktail and burst into tears on stage during another show in Melbourne.
