Well, well, well, look who it is! We haven’t seen famous romance novel cover model in quite a while, but on Mar. 11 he shocked us by reprising his roll in the “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” commercials! Us Weekly shared a snippet of the ad, and it’s seriously so funny… and weird.
First, we see two lovely ladies enjoying breakfast in “I Can’t Believe” land. A place where nothing makes sense. “I can’t believe it has 40% less calories than butter” begins one woman, as she bites into a yummy-looking corn muffin smothered in the butter substitute. “I can’t believe it’s made with real, simple ingredients” replies the other. And then things get crazy.
When the camera goes wide, we see that the women are actually sitting on a giant whale, who says “I can’t believe you talked me in to this”, before launching the notorious 90’s model out of his blow hole. “I can’t believe my role isn’t bigger!” says Fabio, before taking a selfie that then goes viral.
Fabio has been the spokesmodel for the margarine brand since 1994, but we haven’t seen him in an “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” commercial for several years. That’s why we can’t wait to see how this one ends. The whole ad will air on Mar. 14!
