Now Ronda has to hear from all the haters that she lost to someone who can’t even successfully defend their championship in their first fight as champion.

“The only thing making Ronda happy is that she has dominated Miesha Tate in the past and anticipates to do the same in the future,” the source continued. “Ronda feels she is the number one contender, and anticipates fighting Miesha and winning again, but she is disappointed that she will never have the huge payday with Holly anymore; the fight doesn’t have that same aura and cache.”
Ronda was deeply affected by her loss to Holly, confessing on Ellen that she had suicidal thoughts after their match. She told TMZ back in January 2016 that she would “of course” be facing off with Holly again. But this may be a blessing in disguise.
