Sean Hayes gets a call from Jim Parsons, and he’s got a big job for the former Will & Grace star. Jim had promised NBC that he would put together the special for James, but he totally forgot about it. So he puts the job on Sean, who doesn’t waste any time.
He immediately calls Ted Danson, who’s in the middle of watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Rhea Perlman gets a call while she’s in the tub with Eric McCormack. Despite Eric’s hesitation, Rhea assures Sean they will be both be there — together. Woody Harrelson’s in the midst of auditioning for a Lincoln commercial when Sean hits him up.
Meanwhile, Patrick Warburton, Matt LeBlanc and Johnny Galecki are getting pampered with a pedicure when they get a ring. Charlie Sheen even takes a phone call in a church to promise Sean he’ll be there. Charlie’s taking some time to repent all of his sins.
The special is going to be a star-studded affair. Even though they’re not in the opening skit, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Megan Mullally, Melissa McCarthy, Jon Cryer and more will be attending the tribute. The special celebrates James’ 1000th episode of television. Must See TV: An All Star Tribute To James Burrows airs Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
