Zayn Malik Slams Haters Accusing Him Of Copying Lil Wayne’s Album Cover — See Tweets

Uh oh! Zayn Malik is firing back at claims that he ripped off Lil Wayne's album cover by using a baby picture of himself covered in tattoos. Zayn Malik, 23, wants the world to know that his album cover was his own vision, and not stolen or copied from any other artists. Of course, he specifically means rapper Lil Wayne, 33, who released albums with similar covers in 2008 and 2011.

Zayn Malik is not a copycat, people! After he revealed the very first look at his upcoming solo album, Mind Of Mine, fans were ooh-ing and aah-ing over how absolutely precious his little baby photo was — arm sleeve tattoos included. But, it didn’t take long for others (ahem, haters) to notice the similarity to another artist’s previous album covers: Lil Wayne’s.

“I’m not tryna be no rapper, my album is me a child.. My ideas have been with me a long time,” Zayn tweeted on Thursday, Feb. 18, the day after his album cover was revealed on The Tonight Show. He was obviously responding to the tweets and reports that his tattooed baby album cover looks just like not one, but two of Lil Wayne’s albums. You tell them, Zayn!

“Use your brain, appreciate art don’t discriminate what you don’t understand,” Zayn continued, seriously slamming those who were accusing him of stealing the idea from Wayne. Even though the album covers are pretty similar, it’s definitely been made clear that it was an unintentional move on Zayn’s part.

Since Zayn’s Mind Of Mine won’t be released until March 25, you can read all about it and prepare yourself for the greatness by checking out HollywoodLife.com‘s previous article HERE. We’re just so excited to hear what else he’s recorded!
