Rachel Platten Wows With New Song At The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Rachel Platten thrilled the crowd at the 89th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with a brand new song off her upcoming album. We already love ‘Stand By You’ and hope it’s as big a success as her trademark hit ‘Fight Song.’

Rachel Platten, 34, had a massive 2015 with her breakout anthem “Fight Song” but we’re going to be getting a whole new album from the singer in the coming months and she debuted her new hit “Stand By You” at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 26.

Looking cozy in a burgundy beanie and black coat, the Massachusetts native belted out “Stand By You” for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade crowd, and we can’t wait for more new music as Rachel has a brand new album coming out just in time for the new year! She released the single in Oct. and we’re thrilled for her ongoing success.

The day before the parade on Nov. 25, Rachel did an amazing good deed, by going to a New York hospital and personally singing “Fight Song” for a little girl who was being released from the hospital after a staggering 160 days inside. The little girl named Essence was thrilled to have her own personal concert, and the behind the scenes of the emotional event will air Nov. 27 on the Today Show. Her proud mother even shared photos from their bonding session:

She recently  announced her brand new album will be titled Wildfire and  told her Twitter followers, “Your endless love & support has helped inspire my new album. It’s called..WILDFIRE! Love you guys!” Aww, we love you too Rachel! Click here to get Rachel’s smash hit “Fight Song.”

We’re going to be seeing plenty more of Rachel in 2016, as she releases her new album and embarks on her “Wildlife” North American tour, which will be her first as a headlining artist! It kicks off Feb. 26 in Dallas, TX and includes 25 stops across the U.S. before wrapping up in Los Angeles at the El Rey Theater on Apr. 4. “New songs, new year, new album, new tour. EXCUSE ME WHILE I CRY AWKWARD EXCITED TEARS OF JOY” she captioned the tour announcement on Nov. 24. Eric Hutchinson will be joining her as her opening act.
