“This is exactly what she feared,” a source explained to People, of Khloe learning that Lamar had been found unconscious on Oct. 13. With Lamar reportedly improving, though, those close to him are looking towards his future. “Everyone is hoping that this will be a reality check for him,” added the source, “and that he will make a change in his life and be the man he was created to be.”
Khloe’s fears for Lamar stem from the fact that he had been haunted by the tragedies in his life. Back in 2006, Lamar’s son, Jayden, whom he shared with ex Liza Morales, died from sudden infant death syndrome, before he was even one year old. That would be enough to drive someone into darkness, however, Lamar’s misfortune did not start there.
Lamar’s mother died of colon cancer when he was just 12 years old. His father, meanwhile, is an addict, which Lamar himself discussed on episodes of Khloe & Lamar. Drugs have been a common theme in Lamar’s life, sadly, with others whom he is close to succumbing to addiction.
Earlier this year, his two friends Jamie Sangouthai and Bobby Heyward, died just one week apart, both from alleged drug overdoses, which reportedly took an intense toll on Lamar, before he himself was found unconscious after an alleged overdose.
So sad. We are praying for Lamar on his journey to recovery.
