Harry Styles, 21, does not think that anything has changed without Zayn Malik, 22, being in One Direction. In fact, he truly believes that fans will love their latest album better than any previous albums that included Zayn.
Okay, so there’s one less voice, and there was one less person in the studio, but apparently that didn’t hinder 1D’s latest album in the slightest. Well, that is according to Harry, who was asked how things were different while making Made In The A.M. without their former fifth member, Zayn. Interesting!
“I think it was obviously different, the process, because there was one less of us. But at the same time it didn’t change… in terms of the writing of the album… it didn’t change that much,” Harry explained when he and his bandmate, Niall Horan, were asked. “I think the focus over the last five years has always been the same in that we want to make the best record that we can. I think that didn’t change in any way.”
But, that doesn’t mean Harry and the guys didn’t notice a few differences while recording without their buddy, Zayn.
“Obviously the album sounds a little bit different because you’re missing a voice that was there before, but we’ve very much grown stronger, probably through the realization that we all have the same goal for a lot of things.”
“I think everyone was very much on the same page that we wanted to work really hard on the album and make something that we’re proud of which, fortunately, we feel like we have done,” Harry also shared.
