Donald Trump Would Love To Run For President Against Kanye West

Kanye West already has a major political rival and it’s not even 2020 yet. Current presidential candidate Donald Trump said he ‘hopes to run’ against Yeezy when the ‘Stronger’ rapper makes his bid for the White House.

The next presidential election is still five years away, in 2020, but the political showdown of the century might have already been set. Kanye West, 38, has announced he’s running for the White House in five years. By then, Donald Trump, 69, not only hopes that he’s been elected President of the United States, but that he’ll face Kanye out on the campaign trail.

Just imagine how epic a Kanye-Donald debate would be. The Donald discussed possibly running against Yeezy in 2020 during a Sept. 2 interview with RollingStone. The Donald talked about how some likened him to the “All Day” rapper, and he doesn’t really know why. “Somehow there are comparisons made so often, which are interesting — comparisons with Kanye and myself,” said Donald. “I don’t quite get it.”

It could be that both Donald and Kanye have distinctive fashion styles and both have made some outrageous comments in the past. Speaking of comments, Donald said that Kanye has allegedly been very complimentary of him. “While he’s said very nice things about me in the past and he knows my daughter a little bit, Ivanka Trump, and he’s said very good things about me, very positive — extremely positive things.”

It also turns out that Donald is a MTV fan, as he admitted that he was watching the VMAs when Kanye became the latest person running for president. “I saw him do it and I said ‘that’s very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea,'” said Donald.

Wait, did he just take credit for Kanye’s presidential campaign? Huh. Donald decided to return the alleged flattery, complimenting Kanye. “He’s actually a different kind of person than people think. He’s a nice guy,” Donald said, adding that “I hope to run against him someday.”

Wow. It’s possible that we see a West-Trump showdown in 2020. Donald will have to secure the Republican Party nomination and then defeat the Democratic candidate to win the White House in 2016. President Trump would then have to run for re-election in 2020. Either Kanye could run as a Republican and primary Donald or, after coring the Democratic party’s nod, challenge Donald in the 2020 election. He also could run as an Independent — part of the Yeezus Party?

Do you think we’ll see Donald Trump go up against Kanye West, HollywoodLifers? Who of these two would you vote for?
