When Below Deck returns to Bravo for a third season on Aug. 25, we can expect to see some familiar faces: hi again, Captain Lee Rosbach and Kate Chastain (better known as Chief Stew). However, we’re also going to meet a slew of new faces, guaranteed to stir up some maritime trouble. In this EXCLUSIVE look at the new season, which will take us through the gorgeous Bahamas, we get just a taste of what kind of craziness-at-sea we’re in for this time around and, hint, it involves $300 Don Julio, serious cabin fever and Cynthia Bailey! A special preview of the new season will air on Aug. 10 at 10 pm and before it does, you’re gonna want to watch this trailer!
“Here we are living, working and playing amongst the richest people in America,” Amy Johnson says. “We’re getting to live in a palace, but I’m a maid,” she clarifies. It’s an interesting dichotomy, one that has made the hit series one of the most fun–and insane– to watch.
The new season pretty much guarantees to carry on that tradition. The crew member will be living and working aboard “Eros,” a 161-foot mega-yacht, which will sail through the Bahamas and, according to a description, another summer brings another charter season full of champagne, caviar and tropic thunder. Oh, and did we mention the yacht is worth $11 million? Casual.
Along with Lee and Kate, Amy and Eddie Lucas will also return for the new season, as well as Ben Robinson who will pop up later on. New to the crew will be Don Abenante (second engineer/deckhand), Connie Arias (deckhand), Raquel “Rocky” Dakota (third stew), Emile Kotze (deckhand) and Leon Walker (chef). The newbies quickly learn they must check their egos at the dock in order to provide first-class service to their wealthy and uncompromising charter guests (which, this year, include Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Cynthia!). From elicit affairs, to crew member firings and technical failures on the yacht, the drama on the high seas becomes too much for some of them to handle. To make matters worse, tensions reach a boiling point between Kate and Leon, forcing Captain Lee to call on chef Ben Robinson to return to the kitchen. Drama, drama and more high seas drama!
Be sure to tune into the special preview on Aug 10, and then the official premiere on Aug. 25 at 9 pm. What do you think of the new trailer? Are you ready for season 3 of Below Deck?
