Cara Delevingne, 22, is apparently on the market again. After eight months of dating the first girl who she “fell in love with at 20,” the supermodel turned actress has put a stop to her relationship with singer-songwriter, St. Vincent, 32, according to a new report. Someone pass the box of Kleenex — because this is the second saddest celeb breakup of July 20. (Ahem, Blake and Miranda!)
The split is still very fresh, according to Page Six, who claim the couple were still going strong not too long ago. Obvi — just take a look at this adorable pic of the pair posted to St. Vincent’s Instagram only a few weeks ago.
The end of Cara’s love affair comes as a shock, given the fact that she was just gushing about her gal pal to the July issue of Vogue. “I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days,” the Paper Towns star revealed. “And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”
This bold statement had marked the strong-browed stunner’s first time acknowledging her affinity for both sexes — which she wasn’t always so sure she could welcome wholeheartedly. Until she did, of course.
“Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall. I have only been hurt by women, my mother first of all,” she said, explaining her fervor further. “It took me a long time to accept the idea [of being attracted to women], until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it.”
