‘Resurrection’ Season 2 Finale: Preacher James Tries To Kill Rachael & Her Baby
Preacher James locks up Marty (Omar Epps) and goes after Rachael’s baby. Margaret (Michelle Fairley) tries to convince Henry (Kurtwood Smith) that James is right, and Rachael’s baby really is hurting Jacob (Landon Gimenez).
But Henry confronts James and tells him that he can’t hurt Rachael’s baby. He asks Preacher James why he’s so convinced that Rachael’s baby is evil anyway and says it’s not up to him to decide whether the baby should live or die.
Jacob confesses to Lucille (Frances Fisher) that he hurts when the baby hurts but he doesn’t want anyone to harm Rachael because of it. Lucille decides she should leave with Jacob and Rachael’s baby to protect them.
As Henry, Fred and Marty prepare for an attack from the angry Arcadians,
Marty tells Maggie that he wants to protect her and then suddenly… she kisses him passionately! Finally! Marty kisses her back but their tender moment is interrupted when someone outside throws something through the window!
Preacher James and a huge mob break into Henry’s home and restrain them as Preacher James makes his way up to the room that Rachael is in and closes the door.
James tries to convince Rachael that she needs to “let go” and go live in heaven with Tom and her baby because they don’t belong here on earth.
Margaret, feeling guilty that she taught Preacher James how to disappear a returned person, sets Marty free and tells him that he has to stop Preacher James. Marty and Fred rush upstairs and knock Preacher James out and then Rachael goes into labor moments later!
But then it looks like Preacher James was right! The baby’s birth triggers an ominous, worldwide mass return.
