‘Honey Boo Boo’ Cancelled: Mama June’s Sex Offender Scandal
Splitting up with Sugar Bear was the worst thing Mama June could have done. Especially if she liked being a TV star thanks to her daughter, Honey Boo Boo.
“TLC has cancelled the series ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being,” a spokesperson for the network told HollywoodLife.com on Oct. 24.
According to TMZ, the show has been axed by the network because of Mama June’s rumored new boyfriend: a registered sex offender.
What makes Mama June’s dating situation even worse is that her rumored boyfriend, Mark McDaniel, was convicted of molesting a then 8-year-old relative of June’s in 2004. He recently finished a 10 year prison sentence, and is now a registered sex offender in the state of Georgia.
Despite the family’s denial of Mama June’s new troublesome beau, TLC appears to have had enough of their drama.
