‘The Walking Dead’ Adds Andrew J. West & More As Series 5 Regulars

After all the killing during season four of 'The Walking Dead,' three minor characters have been added as series regulars starting in season five! Alanna Masterson, Christian Serratos and Andrew J. West will all be new regulars when The Walking Dead returns to AMC for season five in October 2014! Alanna will be returning as Tara, Christian will return as Rosita and Andrew will continue his role of Gareth, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

‘The Walking Dead’ Casts 3 New Regulars

Alanna, 25, first appeared on the bloody show in November, playing a woman that The Governor (David Morrisssey) meets after Woodbury was overrun. After her losing her family, she became close with Glenn (Steven Yeun).

Christian, 23, debuted as Rosita mid-way through season four as well, playing a member of Abraham’s (Michael Cudlitz) Army. In September she signed on as a recurring role, so it’s not as much of a surprise that now she’ll be a regular. You may recognize her as Bella’s friend, Angela in Twilight.

As for Andrew, we didn’t meet him until the season four finale. Gareth is the head of the group who resides at Terminus. When he signed on, the network informed him that his role would be key, which is true since he took part in the major cliffhanger.

“Seeing Gareth and Rick and the people of Terminus and our survivors go head-to-head is going to be interesting,” Robert Kirkman, the executive producer of the show and the comic’s creator said. “There is a very deep, dark and storied history to Terminus and how these people came to be that will be revealed in season five.”
