Katie Yeager & Joey Maes Have A Heated Fight On Move-Out Day
After Katie and Joey broke up, Joey was staying at his family’s house. She finds out that Joey has something big to tell her, and he wrote it in a letter that he hand delivered. In the note, Joey revealed that he was seeing someone else. Three days after they broke up, Joey moved on — which Katie considered a betrayal of the two years they spent together. Plus, she didn’t believe that it had only been a couple of days, that it had been something going on for a long time. Katie cries that she doesn’t want anything from Joey, and that he can easily pass everything on to the next girl as long as she keeps away from Molli.
Bitter about the turn their break up took, Katie says that she is going to pawn her engagement ring, but her mom tells her not to be spiteful. When the time comes for the exes to split up their stuff from their apartment, they get into their worst fight to date. As Molli wails, Joey throws his stuff out of the doors and tries to pack up everything. He grabs Molli from out of Katie’s arms and tries to take off with her. Katie’s mom shows up and calls the police so that they can control Joey’s rage. Everyone calms down when the cops are present — but he tells Katie to keep her mom “out of his house.”
“Give this to someone you mean it to,” Katie writes in a note to leave with her engagement ring when she moves out.
Briana DeJesus Pushes Her Mom To Let Her Start Dating Again
Briana DeJesus starts talking to Jacob, a guy that she went to school with. Briana reasons that because her sister Brittany is dating, she should also be able to. Briana’s mom, Roxanne, tries to explain that young guys seeing a girl with a baby means that she comes with “a lot of baby mama baggage.” While Nova should remain a priority, Briana wants to have fun. When Briana’s phone starts ringing at all hours of the night with calls from guys, Roxanne is concerned that Briana’s desire to have a social life will only complicate her situation with Nova.
Roxanne checks in with Brittany to get the dirt on this guy Jacob. Brittany talks to her younger sister when they’re alone, and she tries to talk her out of making another bad decision — and from picking another guy like her ex Devoin Austin.
When Jacob actually asks Briana out, Roxanne doesn’t react well to Briana’s attitude. Briana storms out and leaves her mother in tears, who reminded her that having her baby came with specific sacrifices. Brittany and Roxanne both refuse to babysit Nova while Briana goes out on a date, so it prevented Briana from going anywhere. Briana feels like her family is ganging up on her to judge her — but they are looking out for her best interests.
Alex Sekella Gets A Shocking Phone Call From Matt McCann
Alex Sekella hadn’t heard from David since they went on their mini golf date — but she sees him making plans with other girls online. Alex decides to nip things in the bud, and cut another liar out of her life before she starts. While she may be overreacting about this particular guy, her friends are impressed that she’s making smarter decisions. As Alex is getting excited to go out to a concert with her friends, she gets a phone call from Matt McCann saying that he is getting kicked out of the halfway house that he’s staying at. Alex still feels a sense of obligation to Matt, but not as a boyfriend: she is only concerned about him as Arabella‘s co-parent.
Alex’s mom, Wendy, is really supportive of her going out and having fun for a night — she even seriously offers up her taser for safety. While at the concert, Alex has trouble fully concentrating, and calls home to check up on Arabella. She even avoids hanging out with guys at the concert and shows them a picture of her baby. While talking to her friends, Alex says that all Matt was to Arabella was “a sperm donor.” Harsh!
Mackenzie Douthit Gets A Taste Of Single Parenthood
Mackenzie Douthit‘s mom is going on a trip, and she is leaving Mackenzie along with her dad and son Gannon for the first time since he was born. Mackenzie says that she has no problem taking care of Gannon — but she’s worried about taking care of herself! She still relies on her own mom for almost everything, including guidance about her relationship with Josh McKee, who she hasn’t spoken to in a week. Mackenzie is having a rough time keeping up with the housework — and she sees exactly how much work goes into maintaining a family and a household.
Meanwhile, Josh seems proud that his earlier lies to Mackenzie got him some space away from his family. He does not feel obligated to apologize to her for going behind her back, but his friends try to talk some sense into him. Josh finally calls because he wants to see Gannon. When he comes by, he drops of Mackenzie’s saddle — but he says that he wants to give their relationship another shot. The couple is back on — for now. When Mackenzie’s mom returns, Mack proudly tells her that they’re FBO — Facebook official.
Mackenzie upsets her parents more than ever when Josh comes to pick her up — and Gannon — after 10 p.m. They worried that she would jump at whatever he suggested, with no concern for their child.
