Tupac may be gone but he is not forgotten, and many celebs took to Twitter to remember the rapper on the anniversary of his death. Tupac Shakur's life was cut short in the height of his fame when the legendary rapper was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nev. in 1996. The best-selling rapper and actor was only 25 at the time of his death, but he remains one of the most influential hip-hop artists in history. Tupac Shakur’s Death — Celebs Pay Twitter Tribute On 17th Anniversary

Tupac legacy lives on in his friends, family and fans, which include some major celebrities:

“R.I.P Tupac we miss u love one! RT @BootsRiley: Me, Tupac, and @E40,” rapper E-40 tweeted, linking to an old picture of him, Tupac and rapper Boots Riley.

Jermaine Dupri shared wise words from Tupac, tweeting, “QUOTE OF THE DAY: ‘Surrounding yourself with dwarfs does not make you a giant’ -Tupac”

Comedian Mike Epps tweeted, “Rip to the best rapper ever TUPAC SHAKUR . Still riding for you”

Shake It Up star Zendaya Coleman said, “Not just a rapper but a poet…#tupac.”
