Pierce Brosnan Speaks Out About Death Of Charlotte
Pierce released the following statement to Us Weekly after the sad news:
On June 28 at 2pm my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, her children Isabella and Lucas and her brothers Christopher and Sean. Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences.
Charlotte Brosnan’s Mother Died From Ovarian Cancer
Charlotte was adopted by Pierce and his late wife Cassandra Harris in 1986. Cassandra, an actress who starred in For Your Eyes Only, passed away in 1991 at the age of 43 also from ovarian cancer.
Charlotte passed in London on June 28, leaving behind husband Alex Smith, daughter, Isabella, 14, and son, Lucas, 8. Additionally, she had four brothers: Christopher, Sean, Dylan and Paris.
