And even though she filmed the movie back in June, Rachel says she had no problem getting into the holiday spirit on set.
“I loved singing Christmas songs while we were filming in June,” she admits. “Working with our director, Marita Grabiak, was extraordinary. She brought so much heart to the film. I also loved the flashbacks of high school. Dance rehearsals, food fights, high school football fields, and I never dreamed I would be wearing a cheerleading uniform dancing with a chipmunk mascot.
As you might guess from the title, Holiday High School Reunion is about more than just the Christmas season. It’s a movie Rachel believes everyone can relate to, no matter what the season.
“It’s ultimately a story about forgiveness, listening to your heart, and being your true self,” Rachel says. ” I like W.H. Murray‘s thought: ‘Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.’ You have to jump out of your hearts silence so love is possible.”
