While in Toronto for the premiere of her film On The Road at the Toronto International Film Festival, Kristen and co-star Garrett Hedlund sat down with The Hollywood Reporter‘s Scott Feinberg for a candid video interview. When the subject of living as a celebrity came up, Kristen said, “You’re just looking through a slightly different scope. And it’s a pretty interesting one, I’ve got to tell you–” before stopping herself. When she regains composure, she continues, “As long as you just don’t let it lock you up. That’s the thing, and that can be a bit — I don’t want to say a ‘struggle,’ because that sounds awful, but… [It’s important to remember that] you’ve never seen it before, whatever you’re looking at.”
Kristen, 22, admitted that the story of her new film, with its emphasis on living live free, “has actually taken a lot of fear away.” She says that the film reminded her to, “Acknowledge your position in life, and don’t try to have someone else’s, and get however much you can out of that.”
It’s clear that having made such an unfortunate mistake in her personal life, and having to deal with it in a public forum, has really made an impact on Kristen.
Do you think that Kristen is handling the struggle of being famous well, HollywoodLifers?
