OH No! George Lopez & His Wife File For Divorce After 17 Years Of Marriage!

We thought these two would definitely go the distance! New reports say George and his wife Ann have decided to amicably split — even after she gave him one of her kidneys! George, 49, and Ann Lopez are now being added to the list of broken Hollywood marriages. The host of Lopez Tonight and his wife announced Sept. 27 that they're ending their 17-year marriage. "The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement," a representative for the couple said in a statement. "They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation."

Ann and George met in 1993 and have one daughter, 10-year-old Mayan Lopez, who is also in show business.

Many are shocked with the report that the long-time couple is divorcing. What’s even more shocking is that George’s soon-to-be ex-wife gave him one of her kidneys in 2005. George was suffering from a genetic condition that caused his kidneys to deteriorate and Ann decided to offer up one of hers.

Even though the two stepped out together just last week at the Padres El Contra Cancer’s 25th Anniversary Gala in Hollywood, it appears their relationship couldn’t be more than over.
