The story of how Tarek, 35, and Christina El Moussa, 32, met begins inside the unsuspecting real estate office. We’re unclear as to what the exact year was, but Christina met Tarek right after graduating college. Tarek was also a young buck, who earned his real estate license at 21. As soon as they laid eyes on each other at work, they knew something special was about to go down!

2008 – Tarek and Christina joined forces as real estate mavens are a pretty unlucky time, as the housing market went drastically went downhill after the Oct. stock market crash. The couple was forced to give up their $6,000 per month home, and moved into a $700 per month apartment.
2009 – Tarek and Christina tied the knot! The couple went on to celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary in style, by purchasing their very own boat, aptly named Flip or Flop.
2010 – Christina gives birth to the couple’s first child, a daughter named Taylor Reese.
2013 – A nurse contacts Tarek after watching him on Flip Or Flop, as she suspects he has a dangerous lump in his neck. After examining the lump for the second time, doctors diagnosed Tarek with stage 2 thyroid cancer. Christina and Tarek are forever grateful for the nurse’s phone call.

2015 – The couple’s second child, son Brayden James, is born.
2016 – This is probably the most difficult year of the lovebird’s lives. It was announced in Dec. that Tarek and Christina are separating after facing multiple challenges in their marriage. The couple have reportedly been separated since May, and are rumored to be dating other people. So sad!
