Cara Delevingne Remembers ‘Incredible’ Model Dylan Rieder After Sad Death — Pic

Dylan Rieder was much more than a skateboarding pro -- he was an incredible friend. Model Cara Delevingne took to Instagram following his tragic death on Oct. 12 to mourn her friend, sharing a sweet photo of him, and writing that he was kind, and down to Earth. See her full message here.

“One of the kindest, most down to down, incredible human beings I have ever encountered. You will be so missed by so many people,” Cara Delevingne captioned an Instagram photo. In it, she and Dylan Rieder are sitting together on the hood of a New York City cab. The photo that Cara shared was a behidn the scenes photo shoot for DKNY’s Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, shot by photogrpaher Mikael Jansson; also involved in the shoot was A$AP RockyEliza Cummings and Jourdan Dunn. Dylan passed away on Oct. 12 at the young age of 28 after a battle with cancer.

Dylan was a pro skateboarder who had been battling with leukemia for a year. His manager shared the following statement on Jenkem Magazine’s Facebook page. “Today, October 12th, 2016, surrounded by family and friends, Dylan Joseph Rieder passed away due to complications with Leukemia. His passion for life, art, music, fashion and skateboarding has always been contagious. Dylan will be remembered by all as a loving son, brother and friend. In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dylan’s memory to Dr. Stephen Forman.”

Following his passing, many celebrities took to social media to share their memories and thoughts on Dylan. “Dylan Rieder. One of the most beautiful & talented men I’ve ever met. You were so brave,” Sharon Osbourne wrote. Skateboarder Ryan Sheckler added, “Relax in Heaven Dylan. Love you man and I miss you so much!”
