Lady Arminka Helic has reportedly been helping Angelina Jolie, 41, lead a smear campaign against Brad Pitt, 52, fueling aggression between the estranged couple. Here are five things to know about the Bosnian-born member of the United Kingdom House of Lords.
1. She has a wild past.
Lady Arminka studied English literature at Sarajevo University in Bosnia, but she actually used to be a punk rocker in her youth! She buckled down, though, and studied 12 hours a day before graduating with honors and later becoming a teacher.
2. Arminka fled the Bosnian War as a refugee in the 1990s.
She fled a war-torn Bosnia in 1992, taking her younger sister with her.

3. She’s had some odd jobs.
Upon her arrival in Great Britain, Arminka worked at a Pizza Hut restaurant and sold ice cream. She finally landed a part-time job in the UK’s House of Commons as a librarian, and her specialized knowledge about Bosnia helped her work as a researcher for British Members of Parliament.

4. Arminka and Angelina met and became friends in 2012.
Angelina is a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and she first bonded with Arminka in 2012, when Angelina partnered with former British foreign secretary William Hague — who was Arminka’s boss — for an anti-sexual violence initiative. “They’re very close and have a lot in common,” a source told Us Weekly about their friendship. “It’s rare that Angie meets someone that she connects with on this level.”
5. Arminka has allegedly been leading a negative campaign against Brad Pitt.
“[Arminka has] been calling all the networks and news outlets, placing stories that he was cheating, drunk, on drugs, out of control and abusive, which Brad denies,” an insider told Page Six. “[Her] last move was to urge news outlets to obtain the video of Brad allegedly losing his sh*t on the tarmac. But that video didn’t surface, or doesn’t exist,” another source revealed. Arminka has since reportedly returned to London after spending time with Angelina in her private residence.
