1. She was adopted.
For those who haven’t seen one of Kadie Lynn‘s introductions on America‘s Got Talent, the Kemp, Texas, native talks a lot about her parents. Although they adopted Kadie when she was a baby, they were in their 50s — but that didn’t stop them from loving her unconditionally. Kadie has said that she doesn’t know where she would’ve ended up if it weren’t for her parents!
2. She’s been performing since she was 3 years old.
Kadie may not even be able to drive yet, but she area has nearly a decade of singing experience under her belt. No wonder she already has such a powerful voice, huh?

3. She’s performed with Vanilla Ice before.
Since Kadie has been performing for so long, she’s gotten the opportunity to do some awesome things in her young career. Not only has Kadie gotten to sing for the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, but she even opened up for for Vanilla Ice at one of his Texas shows in 2013! (Side note: Who would’ve thought Vanilla Ice and country would be paired together?)
4. She’s already recorded her own single.
Sure, Kadie’s covers of country classics are great, but she has also proved that she has songwriting chops too! Kadie shared her first single, “Stronger,” and accompanying music video on YouTube at the beginning of the year, which she wrote all on her own — and no surprise, it’s pretty darn good!
5. Simon Cowell LOVES her.
Although Simon used his Golden Buzzer on Kadie’s fellow teenage singer Calysta Bevier, there hasn’t been an audition of Kadie’s that Simon hasn’t raved over. And even after her first audition, he told her, “I have a feeling that in a few year’s time, we’re going to look back to this moment and say ‘this is the day we discovered Kadie Lynn’.” Sounds like Kadie has a future no matter how AGT turns out!
